Microfluidic processes have gained considerable importance in the optimization and intensification of chemical reactions.Besides significant improvement in heat and mass transport, microstructured reactors allow adapting process analytical techniques as online or inline tools. These techniques provide high spatial and temporal resolution for screening processes and identifying optimum process conditions. Here,we report on the development of new Infrared and Raman spectroscopic tools for the fast monitoring of chemical reactions in microfluidic processes.
