Selenium-based chalcogenide glasses refer to a group of amorphous materials that contain chalcogen element Se as main constructing units that are covalently bonded with other glass-forming elements, such as As,Ge,and Sb.In this study,a series of Au doped Ge-Sn-Se chalcogenide glasses were synthesized by conventional melt-quenching method. The polished samples were heat treated for different time. The optical spectra properties and TON properties of heat treated Au doped Ge-Sn-Se samples were investigated for the first time. The experiments results indicated that heat treatment can have significantly influence on the UV cut-off wavelength, optical band gap and IR transmission spectra. The TON refraction index increased and then decreased with heat treatment duration increasing. The maximum TON refraction index value that came from the sample heat treated for 6 h improved by 36%than that of GSS matrix glass. The absence of MPA and high TON infraction can illustrate the heat treated GSS-Au samples may be the good candidate material for designing and fabdcating ultra-fast all-switch information processing devices.
