In this talk, I will present some results in the study of Bakry-Emery curvature, heat kernel analysis and Perelman type entropy for subelliptic operators. In particular, we prove the positive curvature property for sublaplcian on nilpotent Lie group of rank two. For general subelliptic operators, under the curvature coundition introduced by Baudoin and Garofalo, we get the gradient estimates for positive solutions to the associated heat equations, from which we can derive estimates for the associated heat kernels. The monotonicity of the perelman type entropy will be mentioned.
