Many types of automorphism groups in algebra have nice structures arising from actions on combinatoric spaces.We review some examples including Nagatas Theorem and the Jung-Van der Kulk Theorem.For K a field of characteristic zero,It is shown the the tame subgroup TA3(K)of the group GA3(K)of polynomials automorphisms of A3K can be realized as a generalized amalgamated product,specifically,the product of three subgroups,amalgamated along pairwise intersections,in a manner that generalizes the well-known amalgamated free product structure of TA2(K)(which coincides with GA2(K)by Jungs Theorem).The result follows from defining relations for TA3(K)given by U.U.Umirbaev.
