Fluorosurfactants can be described as perfluorinated,where all hydrogen in the hydrophobic tail has been replaced by fluorine,or as partially fluorinated.More recently,it has been identified that fluorinated compounds with C8-C15 chain lengths are hazardous pollutants[1].Introducing branch is one of effective strategies for synthesis of non-bioaccumulable fluorinated surfactants [2].We designed one novel branched fluorinated surfactants and prepared through a three-step route using perfluoro-2-methyl-2-pentene as starting material.
