　　There are about 300,000 births/yr in the world affected with sickle cell disease (SCD),a hemoglobinopathy caused by β-globin gene mutation,over 75% occur in Africa.In this study,we took 511 individuals on the island of Bioko (Equatorial Guinea)as the objects and tried to establish a method for rapid sickle cell disease screening.
