  In previous studies,few attentions are focused on the fatty acids composition in fresh-water mussels,especially the potential relationship between fatty acids and their food habits.Actually,lipids in fresh-water mussels contain a number of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and novel odd-carbon fatty acids (OCFA) which are generally considered as bacterial fatty acid and rarely found in animal lipids.
