Recent studies have shown that hydrogen and carbon dioxide storage in MMOFs can be enhanced by ways ofintroducing open metal sites,functionalizing ligands,cation exchange or utilizing catenation.Of particular promiseis the possibility of synthesizing fluorinated metal-organic frameworks (FMOFs) with microporous channels.
