Medical image segmentation is very important part of medical image processing.The accuracy of image segmentation effect the image feature extraction,classification and three-dimensional reconstruction.Main purpose of the medical image segmentation is to segment lesion area.The hepatic hydatid disease is very common disease in XinJiang.Segmentation is an important part of the image preprocessing of the hepatic hydatid disease CT image to building hepatic hydatid disease retrieval system and computer aided diagnose system.In this paper segment 100 Single cystic hepatic hydatid CT image and 100 Polycystic liver hydatid using the promoted method of region growing method which is concluded from 40 XinJiang hepatic hydatid disease CT image's level histogram.Also Compare and evaluate with the segment images which experts segment.The average area gap between region growing method and experts is 3.9875%.The average gray gap between region growing method and experts is 1 pixel.The average area gap between active contour and experts is 12.985%.The average gray gap between active contour model method and experts is 2 pixels.This study not only can improve the accuracy rate of CAD system but also medical image segmentation laid the foundation for the study of diagnosis aided diagnosis system in XinJiang liver hydatid.
