  This study was conducted to screen hpase-producing bacteria,to enumerate total lipolytic bacteria count and total viable count,and to evaluate the effect of storage temperature on the microbiological changes of Anadara granosa (cockles) during storage.Live Anadara granosa (cockles) were purchased from Lot-I109,Excellent Worth Sdn.Bhd.,Kompleks Pasar Borong Selangor,Seri Kembangan,Selangor.Samples were stored at 2 different temperatures,which were at ambient (28 ± 2 ℃) for 24 hours and refrigerated (10 ± 2 ℃) for 10 days.Plate count agar (PCA) was used to determine both mesophilic and psychrophilic counts.
