A micro-/nano-fluidic device was designed and used to quantify highly reactive oxygen species(hROS)in the mainstream of cigarette smoke(CS)based on surface plasmon resonance-enhanced fluorescence(SPREF)effect.The micro-/nano-fluidic device integrated with nanochannels,chip electrophoresis and a LIF detector.Using this device,core-shell Ag@SiO2 nanoparticles can be effectively concentrated in the front of the nanochannel via size exclusion effect.The concentrated Ag@SiO2 nanoparticles will effectively enhance the fluorescent intensity of fluorophores nearby.Thus,sensitively detection of oxidative activity of CS has been achieved based on the cleavage of DNA oligomers labeled with fluorophores(FAM)(Fig.1).
