Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) usually provides certain personalized treatment in diabetes mellitus (DM) according to different symptoms.However, these symptoms are obtained by clinic experiential observation.Thus, it is necessary to investigate these symptoms and classification of Diabetes melliltus (DM) according to these symptoms with the help of methods of modem medicinal and biological technologies.Among these technologies, metabolomics is the systematic study of the unique chemical fingerprints that specific cellular processes leave behind to investigate the process of diseases.Metabolomics might therefore be potential approach to explore the development process of DM based on TCM symptom types diagnose.
