Maize seedling root rot caused by Fusarium graminearum is a major soil-borne disease in China resulting in significant yield loss.However thus far we lack of effective control measure to confront it even though a variety of chemical seed coating agents have been widely applied in maize production.It is well known that bio-control technology is not only able to control soil borne diseases but also reduce the application of chemical pesticides.
