The integrated hydrometallurgical process analysis is an effective method for the recovering cobalt from the sulphuric acid leachate of copper smelter slag [1-3].With the proposed hydrometailurgical process,the woblem of separating cobalt from calcium,magnesium,copper and aluminum can be solved [4-6].In this paper,the typical leachate,whose compositions are shown as follows (mg/L):Co2+=1407.2,Cu2+=440.3,Zn2+=525.1,A13+=309.6,Ca2+=974.06,Mg2+=317.5,is studied in details.Aluminum and copper are removed as precipitation by using a hydrolysis-precipitation process with Na2CO3 at pH=4.5~5.0,T=80℃.
