Hydrogels derived from alkyl dipeptides Alanine dipeptides can be easily synthesized and modified were widely used in materials and drug delivery.The dipeptide molecules can readily self-assemble into helical nanoribbon as observed in Yangs experiments.[1-2] But what are the primary driving forces of the organizing process at the molecular level is still worthwhile to be discussed.
