The EhW value of groundwater is a hydrogeochemical parameter that reflects its redox potential and is one of the indispensable parameters for determining uranium redox environment. In the case of 1: 500,000 zone of interlayer oxidation zone sandstone-type uranium deposit in the eastern part of Junggar Basin, the EhW values of the collected water samples were not measured under the working conditions, thus affecting the water redox capacity However, Fe2 + / Fe3 + in these water samples is a very useful redox couple that can be used to simulate the EhW values of the groundwater environment. The principles and the results of simulating groundwater EhW values using geochemical models are discussed in detail.
