2016年6月21日,由青岛市根石盆景艺术协会组织的“中国青岛国际赏石文化万里行美国之旅”正式起程。此次活动历时17天。考察团从青岛起飞,途经韩国转机飞往美国夏威夷。海滩、椰林、火山,梦中的天堂,心灵的乐土。考察团游览了珍珠港美国波芬号潜艇博物馆、卡美哈国王铜像、Waikiki海滩、恐龙湾、钻石山头、卡哈拉高级住宅区、土著人保护区、大风口古战场,领略异国风情独特之美。之后,考察团转战洛杉矶、圣地亚哥、圣塔莫妮卡、拉斯维加斯,参观了美国海军服役年限最长的“中途岛”
