金翅岭矿区位于招掖金矿带的中部,招平断裂带下盘西北侧。区内出露地层为花岗岩,构造十分复杂,有北西向、北东向、北北东向和北东东向控矿断裂。金翅岭矿区面积为57平方公里,共有十个矿点,经钻探验证有工业价值的矿体三个。矿区内水文地质条件复杂,矿井内涌水量大,一般为3.6～9.023(米~3/昼夜),给矿床开采带来一些不利因素。近几年来,该矿由过去的“拉抽屉”式
