The Bohai Strait is a connecting area between the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea. The Yellow Sea to the east and the Bohai Sea to the west are open to the outside with a bell mouth shape. The seafloor topography is generally inclined from south to north, and the deepest part is the Laotieshan Channel, about 70 meters away. The Strait is the only port for water exchange between the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea. The flow through the Strait is an important factor that affects the distribution and changes of various hydrological elements in the Bohai Sea. The flow in the Strait is a composite flow of currents, wind flows and density flows, but the trend is dominant. The tidal wave system in the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea is attributed to the propagation of tidal waves in the Pacific Ocean. Due to the reflections of the coast, independent waves of the standing wave are formed in the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea
