The Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases stipulates that 11 kinds of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis are type C infectious diseases and should be subject to monitoring and management. In order to understand and grasp the occurrence and prevalence of Category C infectious diseases in our district, in 1991, surveillance of Type C infectious diseases was carried out in the whole region.
