我是一个中学教师,因爱好美术,有时利用业余时间创作一点剪纸或漫画,投寄一些报刊。我遇到过不少好编辑,如中国青年报的《向日葵》副刊编辑、《河北文艺》美术编辑等,他们对工作认真负责,对作者诚恳热心,令人感动。特别使我难以忘怀的是《儿童文学》的编辑们。开始,我抱着试试看的心理,曾把一组剪纸寄给《儿童文学》。一周之后,稿子退回了,附信对我的作品从选材、构图到技法提出了详尽的意见,有几处还画了图,作了比较说明。收到这样的信,我高兴极了,这比刊登一篇稿子还有意义。一次,我借探亲之机访问了《儿童文学》编辑部。美术编辑杨永青等同志热情接待了我,说了不少鼓励的话。老杨同志还拿出纸、笔,边画边讲,从儿童的体型特点、动态,直讲到剪纸的刀法、技法。他是一位老编辑,但很谦虚地一再表示自己是门外汉。这种编辑作风,
I am a high school teacher, hobby art, and sometimes use my spare time to create a little paper-cut or comic, posting some newspapers. I met quite a few good editors, such as the editor of “Sunflower” Supplement of China Youth Daily and the art editor of “Hebei Literature and Art”. They are earnest and responsible to their work and sincere and enthusiastic about the author. What made me especially memorable is the editor of Children’s Literature. I am very pleased to receive such a letter, which is more meaningful than publishing an article. Once, I visited the editorial department of “Children’s Literature” with my relatives. Fine art editor Yang Yongqing and other comrades received me warmly and said a lot of encouraging words.
