芡实,又名鸡头子,睡莲科,芡属,为一年生水生植物,是余干县的一种土特产。其子仁供食用,称为“芡米”。新鲜芡米可以生食或加糖煮食,制干可外销,性温、味甘可入药,具健脾涩精功能,主治脾虚、遗精及带下等症。叶柄和花茎可作蔬菜,根茎和嫩叶富含淀粉,可作饲料。 芡实在鄱湖地区生长较多。余干水面较大,大小湖泊、池塘均有野生芡实,近年来笔者对本县芡实有关情况进行了观察和调查,现报道如下:
