Frost resistance of concrete is an important indicator of durability. It depends on the quality of cement mortar and aggregate. In addition to the influence of aggregate and mix ratio, the quality of cement mortar has a direct relationship with cement varieties. In the existing literature, although the influence of cement varieties on the frost resistance of concrete has been discussed, it is still a controversial issue. Some researchers pointed out that: hydration of tricalcium aluminate, hydration of calcium sulphoaluminate and hydration Tetracalcium aluminosilicates are not water resistant and therefore not freeze resistant; the incorporation of active mineral admixtures in Portland cement will dramatically reduce the frost resistance of the concrete. However, some scholars believe that slag Portland cement has a high degree of frost resistance. Some use a pozzolan cement to obtain better frost resistance. Some scholars believe that the cement itself has a great effect on freezing resistance.
