汉语词汇史的研究包括多方面的内容,从微观上把一个一个词语、词义的来龙去脉搞清楚,是词汇史研究的主要内容。而要把一个一个词语、词义的来龙去脉搞清楚,首先要找到它的源头,因为词语词义的发展变化都是以其最初的用法为起点的。源头没有弄清楚,词汇史的研究就是无本之木、无源之水,因而是不完整的。大型语文工具书是词义研究成果的总汇,对于所收词语词义自然也要弄清它的源头。1915年出版的《辞源》,以
