一九五○年二月十三日,记者随中国人民出席世界和平理事会代表团,离开祖国的首都北京,前往德意志民主共和国的首都柏林,去参加二月廿一日到廿六日举行的世界和平理事会第一届会议。我们代表团一行二十二人,乘中苏民航公司的两架飞机,从北京机场起飞。那天出发时的天气是一个昏昏沉沉的阴天,加上平时听人说,在飞机上,人人会发生晕眩,甚至引起呕吐。因此,第一次坐飞机的我,很担心我自己在这次空中旅行中会弄得狼籍满袋(飞机上每个乘客都有一个备呕吐之用的纸袋),头昏眼花。然而实际上,和我所暗地里怀抱着的戒心相反,这次空中旅行是非常舒适的愉快的一次旅行。飞机上有白净的活动的沙发,可坐可卧。飞机开得很平稳,不但可以看书,而且可以记笔记。机内听到的马达声,也并不很大。有人为了保护鼓膜,两耳塞上了棉花球,但很多人并不塞它,也没有关系。飞机内有暖气和通风的设备,虽然机外是冰点下廿度至四十度的酷冷气候,但机内的温度,则使你心须脱去大衣,甚至脱去毛衣,有时
