這就是拔特勒等(E.J.Butler& S.G.Jones,1949)所採取的態度。
There is a need for a clear concept of everything. Phytopathology First, plant disease definitions should be based on all the information that has been accumulated. However, we see apparently feeling overwhelmed by some of the newly published biographies of plant pathology in Britain and the United States, simply bypassing the generalization of plant diseases. This is the attitude taken by E. J. Butler & S. G. Jones (1949). There are still some books to blame for nonsense. For example, K.S. Cheater (1947) states: “Diseases in plants are any changes that violate their normal structure, function, or economic value.” Weststock (1950) states: “The simplest definition of a plant disease is any deviation from normal ”. There are often lengthy explanations of plant diseases in some of the older textbooks widely used, but there is absolutely no point at all. The so-called “absolute disease” first proposed by Paul Sorauer (1914-1920)
