B级、邪典(Cult)与剥削片界甚多王与后,如“烂片王”爱德·伍德、“剥削皇后”桃乐斯·维斯曼、“耶稣”杰斯·佛朗哥等等。正因哗众取宠是这种电影的特性:玩不够煽情过火、搞不够血肉淋漓,发不出扰人杂音,就算不得合格。一众邪迷当然深谙此道,纷将自己的偶像捧上天。可是,当中一人有着“B级之王”(King of the Bs)之名,却非影迷拥戴,而是好莱坞同业对他的尊称。他监制及导演的影片近400部,不少弟子门生后来更成影帝及名导,例如科波拉、斯科塞斯、尼科尔森等“新好莱坞”骨干。这位“B级大王”便是罗杰·柯曼(Roger Corman)。
