话剧《永不凋谢的海棠》(载《当代戏剧》八六年第五期)以本世纪三十年代初陕北革命斗争历史为背景,以女共产党员、革命英烈任志贞事迹为主要素材,通过典型化与象征性的艺术创造,塑造了一个既高于生活,美于自然,又符合历史本质真实的革命女英雄形象。为了典型化,作者没有采取传记体的写法,对于任志贞烈士的生平,采取了舍全取精的方式,精选了几个最能充分表现革命英雄主义精神的片断,进行艺术加工,目的在于表现崇高与壮美。本来,任志贞的父亲就是共产党员,为革命做了很多工作,对任志贞的成长有着重要的影响。但编剧为了更集中地表现主题,舍去了这些材料。又如,对党内机会主义
