中国现代戏剧——话剧从诞生之日起,到现在已满八十余年了,还没有一部现代戏剧史问世,不能不说是件遗憾的事。戏剧作为文学,它是所有文学中最难掌握的一种样式。但它在中国现代文学史中每处于无足轻重的陪衬地位。戏剧文学中的喜剧样式,则又是戏剧文学诸样式中更难掌握的样式,但其地位似乎更居下游了,这是不公平的。这种不公平在开国后所出的几本中国现代文学史中随处可见。直到近几年在某一次所谓“抗战文艺”研究会上,与会者中竟没有戏剧作者参加,真是咄咄怪事!倒是台湾的作家陈纪滢先生在其书面发言中说:抗战时期除了戏剧创作以外,其它文
