“□平二年”释迦佛坐像1974年出土于西安市王家巷,后收藏于西安碑林博物馆。因其雕刻精美,且像背镌刻佛本生和本行故事,故多有学者著录介绍①,但皆未对其年代判定作过论证,均定此尊造像纪年为北魏永平二年(509)。这一结论,笔者以为有商榷的必要,从其艺术特点、题材,以及残留的铭文等诸方面考察,其纪年应定为北魏和平二年(461)。下面笔者从诸方面对此尊造像作以考释和论证。
“Ping two years ” Sakyamuni Buddha sitting in 1974 unearthed in Xi’an Wang Lane, later collected in Xi’an Beilin Museum. Because of its beautifully carved, and engraved like a Buddhist scripture back and the story of the Bank, so many scholars introduction ①, but did not make any argument on the judgment of their age, are set this statue made for the Northern Wei Yongping years (509 ). This conclusion, I think it is necessary to discuss, from its artistic features, themes, and residual inscriptions and other aspects of inspection, the anniversary should be set for the Northern Wei Dynasty Peace (461). The following author from all aspects of this statue made for examination and demonstration.
