阿拉善左旗是内蒙古自治区19个少数民族边境旗之一,位于自治区西部。东与乌海市、鄂尔多斯市、巴彦淖尔市相连,南与宁夏交界,西与甘肃为邻,北与蒙古国接壤,地处呼包银经济带和陇海兰新经济带交汇处。总面积8万多平方公里,人口15万,辖13个苏木(镇),139个嘎查(村),是阿拉善盟重要的对外开放窗口和生态防线。但基础设施建设滞后、交通方式单一一直制约着
Alxa Left Banner is one of the 19 ethnic border flags in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and is located in the western part of the autonomous region.
