陈晓明,1959年2月生,福建人,早年有过知青经历,后上大学(77级)和读研究生(1983年)。1990年获中国社会科学院研究生院文学博士学位。同年留在中国社会科学院文学研究所工作,历任研究员等职。1995年至1998年先后在英国高级人文研究中心(I-ASH)、英国皇家学院、英国爱丁堡大学、荷兰国际亚洲研究院(IIAS)、德国鲁尔—波鸿大学等地做研究和访问讲学。2003年调入北京大学中文系,
Chen Xiaoming, born in February 1959, a native of Fujian Province, had a youth education experience in his early years and went to college (77th grade) and postgraduate (1983). In 1990 by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences doctoral degree. In the same year, he stayed in the Institute of Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and held the post of researcher. From 1995 to 1998, he successively gave lectures and visits at I-ASH, Royal College of Royal Britain, University of Edinburgh, Netherlands Institute of International Asian Studies (IIAS) and Ruhr-Bochum University in Germany.
