National Bureau of Statistics announced on April 15 that in March China’s consumer price index (CPI) rose 5.4% from the same period of last year and decreased 0.2% from the previous quarter. The producer price index (PPI) of industrial products rose by 7.3% YoY, up 0.6% MoM. March cpi higher than previously expected market 5.2%, reaching the highest point since the financial crisis.
