今年,我到一所偏远的农村小学支教,这所学校,规模非常小,全校师生总共120人,大部分学生家长都是农民或在外打工人员。学期中旬,我校一年级有位小朋友患上了白血病,他家境贫寒,难以支付巨额的治疗费用,于是学校组织全校师生向患病学生捐款。捐款金额自愿,不作要求。我想,尽管这些学生的条件比不上城里学生,但最起码也能捐个五元、十元的,否则怎么拿得出手。哪知捐款的场面很冷清,一张普通的课桌上放着一只糊着红纸的
This year, I went to teach in a remote rural primary school. The school is very small with a total of 120 teachers and students. Most of the parents are farmers or migrant workers. In the middle of semester, a grade one child in our school was suffering from leukemia. He was in a poor family and was unable to pay a huge amount of treatment fees. So the school organized all teachers and students to donate money to sick students. Donation amount is voluntary, not required. I think even though the conditions of these students are not comparable to those of city students, at least they can also donate five yuan and ten yuan.
