中办《关于领导干部定期接待群众来访的意见》等三个文件下发后,就如何加强新形势下的群众工作,我沿着毛泽东同志当年在衡山县作农民运动考察的线路,到乡镇村、街道社区直接听取群众意见,召集部分基层干部座谈,大家普遍反映,这三个文件下得好,基层干部落实好,党的群众工作又回来了。通过广泛接触干部群众,我深深感到,加强和改进新形势下的群众工作确实是一个十分重大的问题,必须引起各级党委、政府高度重视。
Following the issuance of the three documents entitled “Opinions on Leading Cadres Receiving Regular Visits from the Masses”, on how to strengthen mass work in the new situation, I went along the lines of Comrade Mao Zedong’s inspection of peasant movements in Hengshan County in that year to go to villages and townships The street community directly listened to the opinions of the masses and called some informal discussions with grass-roots cadres. All of us generally reflected that the three documents are well underlined, grass-roots cadres are well implemented and the party’s mass work is back. Through extensive contacts with the cadres and masses, I deeply feel that it is indeed a very significant issue to strengthen and improve the mass work in the new situation and it must be given high priority by the party committees and governments at all levels.
