由五八研究所研制成功的用于弧焊机器人的电弧传感器于1989年3月11日至12日在绵阳通过部级技术鉴定。专家们认为该项成果填补了国内空白,达到了八十年代中期同类产品的国际先进水平。 在解决工业生产过程有毒、有害、危险及笨重作业等问题中,工业机器人的作用越来越受到人们的高度重视。而焊接机器人则是用得最多、取得经济效益最显著的一种。但是。国内一般弧焊机器人因焊件加工误差、焊件位置变化和热变形等因素的影响,使焊接质量很难保证。因而阻碍了弧焊机器人的推广应用。五八所研制成功的这种用于弧焊机器人的电弧传感器则有效地解决了这一问题。它实现了焊缝偏差的实时检测与修正,使弧焊机器人能在焊件偏差±10°的范围内实现焊缝自动跟踪,且焊缝成形良好。
