地图是地理教学的第二语言,它与地理教学的关系十分密切。教师除了要培养学生用语言表达之外,还需要培养学生学会通过运用地图进行相应的表达。地图是地理信息的载体,作为地理学的第二语言能够很好的表现大自然的面貌,形象直观的展现包括地形、地貌、人口、气候特点等地理信息。在初中的地理课堂中,利用地图引导学生进行地理学习,不仅可以激发学生学习兴趣,提高学习效率,还有助于提升学生分析问题和解决问题的能力,利用地图增强课堂实效,是我们地理教育者常用的教学手段,如何使地图在教学中发挥更大的功效,是我们地理教师应该努力的方向。
