去波士顿,到了他们的“科学博物馆”.最让我感兴趣的是“数学模型馆”。正态分布的模型、用肥皂泡做的最小化模型、宇宙速度模型等等,都是我从来没有见过的.以前都是在书本上看文字.从来没有这样直观。宇宙速度模型是用钢球做成的,达到一定的速度钢球做圆周运动.再到一定的速度钢球做抛物线运动.再高到一定的速度钢球做双曲线运动。卫星达到一定的速度就摆脱地球的吸引力了.人造地球卫星就是根据这个原理造成的。我在“数学模型馆”看了很长时间。

The satellites are getting rid of Earth’s attraction when they reach a certain speed, and artificial satellites are based on this principle. I have been in “Mathematical Model Museum” for a long time.
