丘逢甲是我国近代史上杰出的抗日保台爱国志士、卓越的教育家和著名的诗人.为了弘扬优秀的传统文化,增强中华民族凝聚力,加强海峡两岸的交流,促进祖国的统一,广东史学界、文学界和教育界联合发起组建广东丘逢甲研究会,在广东省社会科学联合会直接关心支持下,于1996年1月10日在广州举行成立大会.原广东省委常委、秘书长、广东省政协副主席杨应彬,广东省社科联主席、广东省社科院院长张磊,广东省社科联副主席梁渭雄等领导和广州地区高等院校的专家、学者及丘逢甲祖籍蕉岭县文化局领导和丘逢甲的亲属50多人出席了大会.
In order to promote outstanding traditional culture, enhance the cohesion of the Chinese nation, strengthen exchanges across the Taiwan Strait and promote the unification of the motherland, Qiu Fengjia is an outstanding anti-Japanese patriotism, outstanding educator and renowned poet in modern Chinese history. And the education sector co-sponsored the formation of Guangdong Qiu Fengjia Research Association, with the direct concern and support of the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, held its inaugural meeting in Guangzhou on January 10, 1996. Former Guangdong Provincial Committee, Secretary-General, CPPCC Chairman Yang Yingbin, Chairman of Guangdong Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, President of Guangdong Provincial Academy of Social Sciences Zhang Lei, Guangdong Provincial Federation of Social Sciences Vice Chairman Liang Weixiong and other leaders of institutions of higher learning in Guangzhou and Qiu Fengjia Jiaoling County Cultural Bureau and Qiu Fengjia Relatives of more than 50 people attended the meeting.
