水利部召开新闻发布会,水利部副部长张基尧宣布:南水北调工程总体规划已经党中央国务院审议并原则通过举世瞩目的南水北调工程将历史性地由规划阶段转入实施阶段。
The Ministry of Water Resources held a press conference. Zhang Jiyao, vice minister of Ministry of Water Resources, announced that the overall planning of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project has been reviewed by the Party Central Committee and the State Council in principle and will be transferred from the planning stage to the implementation stage through the historic project of drawing water from the south to the north.
