广西壮族自治区的桂东南地区(简称桂东南)行政区划上包括南宁、梧州、玉林、钦州4个地区和南宁、梧州、北海3个地级市及防城港区。西与百色地区接界,北与河池地区、柳州地区、桂林地区相连,东与湖南、广东为邻,南濒北部湾、隔海与海南相望,西南与越南接壤,共39个市县,陆地国土面积10.74万km~2,人口2360.5万,分别占广西的45.4％和,59.8％。该地区大部分位于北回归线以南,自然条件优越,地理位置重要,开发历史悠久,经济水平较高。1986年桂东南工农业总产值132.5亿元,占广西的56.6％,其中农业产值57.0亿元,占广西66.3％,工业产值75.5亿元,占广西51.0％,农业相当发达,工业相对落后。产值密度12.336万元/km~2,
Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of Guangxi southeast region (referred to as southeast) administrative divisions, including Nanning, Wuzhou, Yulin, Qinzhou four regions and Nanning, Wuzhou, Beihai 3 prefecture-level cities and Fangchenggang District. Guangxi’s agricultural output was 5.7 billion yuan, accounting for 66.3% of Guangxi’s total. Its industrial output value was 7.55 billion yuan, accounting for 51.0% of Guangxi’s total.
