西欧各国的公路交通十分发达。从消费上看,西欧各国每年在公路运输相关产品及服务的总花费达5000亿美元以上。居民家庭平均总支出的10％是用于公路交通。从汽车总保有量看,目前世界汽车保有量排名前10位的国家中有5位属于西欧。
Road traffic in all Western European countries is well developed. From the perspective of consumption, the total cost of road transport related products and services in Western European countries amounts to more than 500 billion U.S. dollars each year. 10% of the average household household’s total expenditure is for road traffic. Judging from the total car ownership, five of the top 10 countries in the world car ownership belong to Western Europe.
