书画大家、一代宗师晏公济元者,名平,号素贞老人、老济、济公、江洲教人,四川内江人也。以公元1901年出身于诗礼之家。幼承庭训,翰墨丹青;颖慧过人,少有远志。与张大千、张善子为总角之交,于诗书画艺,有同嗜焉。及长,游学成都;继而出(?)门,就读于上海中华工学院。其间,以仿古石涛山水“人语响孤峰”与大千之“荷花”共赴柏林参加中德画展;复与何香凝女士合作山水花卉多幅,艺苑一时传为佳话。年三十四时,东渡扶桑,于日本诸名校攻习工程机械,尤浸淫于西学,颇有心得焉;而诗书画艺与日俱进,曾以大幅山水轰动日本国画展,盖学力促艺力,视野大开也。可谓三十而立,四十不惑,博通古今,学贯中西,广采博收而匠心独
