话剧《明月初照人》描写了一个现实生活中很罕见的情节:省妇联主任方若明的大女儿爱上了妈妈年轻时曾经爱恋过、现在也仍怀念着的情人,妈妈经过激烈的内心斗争,战胜了某种“世俗观念”,终于支持女儿勇敢地去爱,因而博得了一些同志的赞赏。他们认为方若明的这个行动打破了旧的精神枷锁,(?)决了虚伪的道德观念。于是,这位勇于支持女儿爱自己过去情人的方若明,被誉为“社会主义新人”的形象。
