A wide variety of artifacts can appear on CT images and should be recognized to avoid misdiagnosis. Artifacts refer to all the different types of shadows that do not exist in a scanned object and appear in an image. There are two reasons for artifacts: one type of artifact is caused by the patient’s involuntary or involuntary movements during the scan; the other type of artifact is related to the machine itself. The latter is the reason analysis, and put forward prevention methods. 1 artifacts cases and analysis of patients, male, 24 years old. Two hours after traumatic brain CT scan, the image shows the bilateral crescentic crescentic smooth low-density shadow, but the patient’s forehead was not injured, apparently caused by mechanical failure artifacts.
