政和大白茶,是三倍体(3n=45,见图1)无性繁殖系品种,属小乔木,大叶类(见图2),迟芽种。在全国茶树良种审定委员会举行的第二次会议上被认定为全国茶树优良品种。政和大白茶原产于福建省政和县铁山乡,相传选育于清咸丰年间。主要分布于福建省的政和、松溪、浦城、建阳、崇安、南平、顺昌、周宁、福安等县,浙江、安徽、江苏、江西、湖南、四川、广东、云南、贵州等省亦有少量分布。政和大白茶植株高大,中下部主干明显。树姿较直立,分枝稀疏,部位高。叶片呈水平状着生,叶平均长度13.9厘米,宽度5.4厘米,叶形椭圆。叶尖渐尖,叶身平展,叶面隆起,叶
