勃朗特姐妹的传世之作《简·爱》和《呼啸山庄》在世界文学宝库中占据了不可动摇的地位。对两部作品的作者及其作品的探讨和评议不仅数量庞大,而且观点纷繁。笔者认为,《简·爱》作为浪漫主义文学作品追求着完美和理想,它遵循着道德规律来决定人物的命运走向,它的真实远不如《呼啸山庄》那样更深刻地反映现实的复杂,《简·爱》归根结底是虚幻的完美,而《呼啸山庄》则指明了现实的本质。
Bronte sisters handed down “Jane Eyre” and “Wuthering Heights” in the world literature treasure occupied an unshakable position. The discussions and comments on the authors of the two works and their works are not only huge in number but also controversial. The author believes that Jane Eyre pursues perfection and ideal as a romantic literary work. It follows the law of morality to determine the destiny of a character. Its truth is far less than that of Wuthering Heights reflecting the complicated reality. Jane Eyre “is, in the final analysis, an illusory perfection, while” Wuthering Heights "points out the essence of reality.
