爱尔兰诗人和作家詹姆斯·乔伊斯的意识流思想对全世界文坛都有着深远影响,其作品含义深远、语言波澜起伏个性鲜明,在读者中引起了强烈共鸣。《一个青年艺术家的肖像》便是他众多作品中比较具有代表性的一部。本文以这部作品中的语言转换(即语言渐变)为侧重点和切入点,通过浅析力求加深本文读者对这部作品以及意识流小说的了解程度。
The idea of stream of consciousness by Irish poet and writer James Joyce has a far-reaching impact on the literary world. His works have far-reaching meanings, distinctive language and fluctuating personality, and have aroused strong resonance among readers. Portrait of a Young Artist is one of his most representative works. This article focuses on the language conversion (ie, language gradient) in this work, and tries to deepen the readers’ understanding of this work and the stream of consciousness novels through analysis.
