随着社会生产力水平的提高和人们信息交往的频繁,信息资源的数量呈快速上升的趋势。尤其在进入21世纪后,信息资源呈几何级数增长,其增长量已超过上个世纪的总和。这使得人们检索利用信息变得更加困难,并且由于用户更注重于信息检索的实际内容,这就对信息资源的组织与开发提出了更高的要求。高校图书馆要能够根据网络环境下的信息服务要求,开展信息检索与文献资源保障体系的整合与服务。
With the improvement of the level of social productivity and the frequent exchange of people’s information, the number of information resources shows a tendency of rapid increase. Especially after entering the 21st century, the information resources have increased geometrically and their growth has exceeded the sum of the previous century. This makes it more difficult for people to retrieve and utilize information, and as users pay more attention to the actual content of information retrieval, this puts forward higher requirements on the organization and development of information resources. The university library should be able to carry out the integration and service of information retrieval and document resource security system according to the information service requirements in the network environment.
