新中国成立以来,中国共产党坚持从我国民族问题实际出发,形成了中国特色解决民族问题的正确道路,积累了推进民族团结进步事业的宝贵经验。其基本经验是,充分认识中国的具体国情,坚持和完善民族区域自治制度;顺应各族人民的共同心愿,依靠科学发展来共建民族和谐;妥善处理民族宗教问题,采取合适方法慎重协调民族关系;抵御国外分裂主义势力,独立自主地规划和管理民族事务。
Since the founding of New China, the Chinese Communist Party has persistently proceeded from the reality of our ethnic issues, formed the correct way for the Chinese characteristics to solve the ethnic issues and accumulated valuable experience in promoting the cause of national unity and progress. The basic experience is that we fully understand China’s specific national conditions and uphold and improve the system of regional autonomy of ethnic minorities. We should conform to the common aspirations of people of all nationalities and rely on scientific development to build a harmonious nation. We will properly handle ethnic and religious issues and take appropriate measures to coordinate ethnic relations ; Resist foreign separatist forces and independently plan and administer ethnic affairs.
